TEENAGE CHICKS and other things.

The chicks are now four and a half weeks old.
In chicken years that makes them teenagers.
They are halfway between being chicks and adult chickens and so they are a bit untidy and odd looking. They have lots of their new feathers, but still lots of baby fluff, especially around their heads.

Morning tea time.
Mmmmm, strawberries.
Much better tasting than cockroaches!

Hei Hei is learning to perch

Sunshine is getting pretty neck feathers.

Beating the heat

Acorn perching and drinking.

Shadow is showing her speckled adult feathers.

What a contrast to this! This was what they looked like  only three weeks ago.
Chicks sure grow up fast.

But we haven't only been raising avian chicks in Room 13!

If you came to the food festival last week you would have seen these gorgeous girls dressed up to perform in Bollywood.

And in the classroom we have been making collage pictures.

Down on Putikitiki we practiced some activities for Whanau Sports next week.
Here we are in the campsite that was made by some senior kids.

Hmmmm.
Boy in a small space.

Hmmmmm
Boy in a box.
